libpocketsphinx-dev software package provides lightweight speech recognition - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpocketsphinx-dev
libpocketsphinx-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpocketsphinx-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpocketsphinx-dev *
You will get with libpocketsphinx-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
